December 16, 2020 Wednesday Evening with Aaron
Christmas Stories: Here I Am, Lord
Aaron: My blessings and love to you all. I am Aaron. So many beautiful thoughts, sweet thoughts I could share about Yeshua and all that he has taught me. There are so many stories we have told through the years, and it’s not really worthwhile to repeat them because they’re all in the transcripts and in the book, Christmas Stories, A Collection of Memories from Aaron.
Yeshua and I talked about today, asking, is there something new that we want to share together as we talk about the meaning of Christmas, of the birth of the Christ on the earth? The birth not necessarily of Yeshua, but of every sentient being that comes forth as the Christ.
Your world has been going through a great deal of chaos. It’s been a challenging year for most of you. Challenge is not bad in any ultimate sense, but it’s difficult. What are we given to learn through challenge? What were the challenges of Yeshua’s time?
I’ll start with one story I have not told before. This was in the weeks leading up to his crucifixion. I could tell that he was sad, that things felt a bit heavy about him. He was joyful, his energy was bright, but I could tell that somewhere deep inside there was some pain.
Remember, in that lifetime, I as Nathaniel was not fully awake. Oh, I was partially awake—you are all partially awake. But I was still in a dream as well, and deeper awakening did not come until 1400 years later. But I knew a lot, and I was partly awake.
Remember, I had come into that lifetime as Nathaniel from the prior lifetime in which I was known as Aaron. In that lifetime as Aaron, I was a teacher and a master of many disciplines. I knew how to renew the body, how to go deep into not just the physical but the energetic and emotional bodies to release that which was aging and bring the body forth into a new power and brightness.
The one who would become my father in that Nathaniel lifetime bi-located, came to me, and said, “My friend,”—I was not ‘Aaron’ to him; he had known me in many lifetimes. He said, “We need you on Earth now, if you will come.” Of course, I had free will to choose yes or no on my own. But he said, and I already knew—it was the “big talk” amongst my friends!—”One who will bring awakened consciousness to Earth is coming, and he will need a lot of help on many planes, on many levels.” So my father for that lifetime said, “Will you come?”
He was both a teacher and a shepherd, and it was well understood that what Yeshua would eventually teach would not be in the big cities but to those who were somewhat marginalized—to the poor, to the hungry, to the shepherds in the fields; that these were the ones who could hear this knowledge of awakening.
So of course, I said, “Yes, I will come.” I was already 550 years old, as Aaron. It was time to move on to something new, something that would have new value—this shift in consciousness on this Earth. And so, I came.
But I did not remember all I knew as Aaron—some of it; not all of it. So, in those weeks before his crucifixion, I asked him, “You feel heavy to me, a bit sad, my friend.”
He said, “I came with a bright hope for the fullest transition of this Earth into awakened consciousness. But so many are not yet ready. I see that what I must do is hold the space, pass the teachings forth, and then be patient.”
“I see it as the passing of the baton in a race. The first runner sets off, and the race cannot be won unless each successive runner takes the baton and runs with it; the next, and the next.”
I remember he took our hands, then, the few of us who were with him, and said, “It will take many generations for this light to fully take hold. The divine, awakened part of me knows it will happen. And the human that I am, Yeshua, he is impatient.”
I asked him why he felt so impatient, and he said, “Because until this world awakens there will be great suffering. And I am impatient with suffering.”
We can all understand that. We are all impatient with suffering. Yet all of you have been given the baton to carry, to finish the race, to move us into transition to a higher consciousness.
Speaking with Yeshua earlier today, we talked about the transition of consciousness, for which he came as the initial baton-carrier—maybe not the initial one but as a very profound one.
He asked me to read to you a few lines from words that will need no introduction once I start. I will read these and then speak a little bit about it, or perhaps Yeshua will.
“Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure…”
We are engaged in a great civil war within the world and a war, a battle, many battles, within the universe, not so much to test who will win in the end, because love is the strongest force in the universe, but to test how long it is going to take us to wake up, and what tools best support that awakening.
“This nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, trusting all beings as equal…” This world dedicated to this.
This is what first drew Yeshua here, 2,000 years ago. In that lifetime as Aaron, the one I was, was engaged as part of the planning for how we would bring forth this transition of consciousness and what it would mean to the whole universe. The one that would become Yeshua, this radiant angel, he was committed: “Yes, I will go.”
I’m thinking of that beautiful song (in part):
I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard my people cry.
Who will bring my love to them?
Who shall I send?
“Here I am, Lord.
Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.”
This is what he stood for. There was a meeting of the Brother/Sisterhood of Light, perhaps a thousand years before Yeshua’s birth, not as human but as spirit. I was part of that meeting, as many of you were, many of you hearing the call, “Whom shall I send?” And so many of you said, “Here I am—send me.”
We’ve taken off from there, struggling through the challenges of 3rd density Earth. Why 3rd density Earth? This takes us further back to the gathering of the great archangels, who answered the call first and said, “Yes, we will give of our love and our energy to create this planet, grounded in love.”
Not too many of the loyal opposition took it too seriously back then. “What do these guys think they’re gonna do? They’re going to come together and create a planet? Bah, I don’t take them seriously.” But of course, now they take it seriously.
And so, “Now we are engaged in a great civil war testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure…” And can flourish and become the beacon of light for the universe that it was meant to be.
Yeshua was a profound torchbearer. And with a multitude of batons, the Light is being passed to all of us. Are you ready to wake up? Are you ready to say no with love to this loyal opposition? Are you ready to say no with love to that which is negative in yourself? Of course, there will be negativity in yourself—you are human—but it does not define you.
So back then, before his crucifixion, he said, “I am impatient. The awakened one in me knows that this will come about, and the human is impatient. All I can do is pass the baton to those who have the love, courage, and power to carry it.” And here we are.
I cannot easily have a dialogue with Yeshua because we cannot both be in the body at the same time. But he is here, standing in the wings, so to speak, and can hear my question. I’m going to pass this to Yeshua, asking him: At this annual celebration of your coming to the earth roughly 2,000 years ago, what is it you would have us know? Are there stories you wish to tell or guidance you wish to offer?
So this is a bit different in the telling of Christmas Stories, because I’m going to invite Yeshua to speak more for himself. He will take the body.
Yeshua (B): Beloved ones, Yeshua ben Joseph, you have called me, and I have come to support the transition of this earth, to lead you in helping to co-create this transition to a world that truly is awakened.
The closer you get to that transition, the more alarmed become those who would oppose it, those who dwell in service to self and want to hold this planet into that more negative polarity.
My teaching is and always has been about love; the simple phrase, “Love one another.” It was the teaching 2,000 years ago, and it is no different today. Love one another. What does it mean to love one another?
Let me precede that question with another. Can you love others if you cannot love yourself? I think not, not in the deepest way. So, what does it mean to love yourself?
Forgiveness is part of it, to look at the places where you seemed to have failed, where you have done harm, and to say, “I forgive. I forgive myself. I forgive my brothers and sisters around the world who have become caught in self-centeredness, in selfishness, in greed, in hatred.” To forgive you must have compassion for yourself and for others.
Remember, my beloved ones, you took on an enormous challenge, and you took it on so courageously, freely.
Here I am, Lord.
Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
What courage it took to do that, you who have come in this human body with its heavy vibration. What love to take this on!
Some of you have said to me, “I find myself caught up in service to self. How can I believe that I am truly material for positive polarity?” But my dear ones, you would not be here if that were not the case.
On this heavy density Earth, in these heavy vibrational bodies, it is so hard to remember non-dual consciousness. It is so hard to come home to the place of non-separation, and to know that you truly are divine, that you are love.
In that lifetime I was born remembering who I was. That gave me an easier path than most of you have, who do not remember or who struggle to remember. And yet, even remembering in deepest prayer and meditation and speaking to our heavenly Father/Mother/All That Is, I asked, “Here I am in this human form, falling prey to fear, to pain, to human emotion. I am too weak; I cannot do this.” And Love surrounded and embraced me and said, “It is only asked that you try. Only asked that you remember that you also are love. Only asked that you remember that you came with this purpose: to bring forth the transition into the vibration of love on this planet.”
I pass that on to you. This is all that is asked of you—not even that you do it well, only that you try, and that you apply yourself with love.
You come at this time of year to celebrate my birth. But it is not me, it is not about Yeshua; it is the birth of the Christ consciousness awakening on Earth. The word ‘Christ’ simply means “one who is awake”. No, you are not yet awake, you are awakening. And when I came 2,000 years ago, I was not fully awake on this heavy vibrational plane. On the higher planes I was fully awake. But I came here and became like the swimmer who gets caught in the current, trapped into the heavy vibration of body, of emotions, of sorrow. It’s like flying free and suddenly finding yourself swimming through tar, to come into this earth plane. You are so brave to do it.
Each of your commitment moves us further and is the power that speaks to that which is more negatively polarized. It is the power that will bring us through. So much love.
Here I am, Lord.
Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people—I will hold your planet, I will hold your universe—in my heart.
We celebrate not my birth but the birth of awakened consciousness, and so it’s taking 2,000 years for it to grow bigger and stronger. What is 2,000 years by galactic time? Two thousand years—you have worked miracles to come to this point in 2,000 years! You are powerful and beautiful. You are love. And I celebrate YOUR birth into awakened consciousness, and that each of you carries this whole Earth into that transition, into love.
Two thousand years ago, I was sitting around those campfires in small villages and sometimes while traveling the road, speaking to those like my brother Nathaniel, speaking to you, so many of you. You took the baton that was passed, each of you, and were willing to dive again and again into one incarnation and the next, always polishing the places that were tarnished a bit. Always going deeper inside and finding the true radiance that you were and letting it pour forth. You begin to know with certainty you are love. And yes, there’s still tarnish—no problem. Keep it moving. Carry this baton of love, this baton of awakening so that all beings everywhere may benefit.
What you do here does not affect only the Earth, but the Earth is a model for what is possible throughout the universe and this is why there is so much opposition. If you were not doing well, there wouldn’t be this opposition. Those beings that have come to Earth either as spirit plane beings or in incarnation, those with strong negative polarity, service to self, and even those of not so strong or moderate negative polarity but not yet positive, they would say, “They’re not going anywhere with this. Let’s go hang out back there, and we’ll come back in another thousand years, see if they’re becoming anything that we have to worry about.” They are here now because they’re worried, because you are showing your radiance, showing your love.
Nathaniel is listening, here—Aaron—but I, Yeshua, will continue to tell this story, not passing it back and forth because it would be hard on this body.
We had been walking through the countryside, when we were beset by a band of outlaws. They came at us with sticks. We did not put up opposition; that was not our way. —Not physical opposition; we said, “No” and stepped aside. They were bewildered. They expected us to fight, and if we fought, they could fight back. No matter how negative you are it’s harder for many beings to fight somebody who is not hitting back.
And yet, they did hit back. They injured us. They stole our food. They stole the few valuables we carried such as Sabbath candlesticks. They stole our robes that gave us warmth. And here, instead of Aaron telling his Christmas stories I am telling the story on Aaron!
Nathaniel sat there on the ground with some bruises, a few cuts. He said, “What should we have done? How could we have stopped them? Why didn’t it work?”
Why didn’t it work? If we were loving, why didn’t they stop? It takes time for people to catch on. You are living in a heavy density world. People do not get it instantly.
We were able to wash our wounds and walk on down the road. We eventually came to a village where they offered us some food. I was able to help heal the wounds of those who were hurt more badly. Not a “wave my hand and it’s better,” but simply to help all of us support a high energy, in turn to support healing.
The people in this village said, “These brigands, every time we have something of value, food, a new lamb, new robes, new blankets, they come and steal. What shall we do, Yeshua?”
I said, “Stay here.” I took just a few with me, and Nathanial will remember he was one that I took. He was afraid to come with me. He said, “They’ll beat us again.” I said, “Probably. Are you ready to do that?” So, he said (making a grimace), “Okay…” (smiling) He trusted me.
We went out—Yeshua/me, Nathaniel, two others—four of us. We walked quietly. We came to where these men were loudly encamped, eating food they had stolen, generally making a mess. Throwing garbage everywhere. Fighting over the plunders they had stolen. Hurting each other.
We just walked in quietly, waited at the edges not looking very different from many of them, and sat there by the fire. Since they did not all know each other, each thought others knew us.
After about an hour of sitting and observing, two men began to fight over a blanket that had been stolen from me. “It’s mine!” “No, it’s mine!” And each pulled a knife.
They were trying to stab at each other when I stood up. Expressing, not my power, me as Yeshua, but the power of Love. I stood up, and said (spoken with power and authority), “No, it is mine. My Father has given it to me, and these candlesticks, these Sabbath candlesticks that were wrapped in this blanket. Who are you to steal from the heart of the Creator, from Love? Are you ready to face up to what you have done?”
These men stepped back. I would not have hurt them—how could I hurt them? But they had to hear this truth. “Where is that within you which is capable of love, which is capable of non-harm? Remember from whence you have come and cease to destroy. I speak this in the name of our Father and with love. Cease to do harm to each other and yourselves.” I did not threaten but the authority in my voice and the energy of the One behind me, terrified them.
I motioned to Nathaniel to pick up the blanket and the candlesticks. He was a bit afraid, but I nodded to him, “Take them. They belong to our Father, not to this band. Keep the food,” I told them. “If you are hungry, please eat. But these tokens of the Sabbath I bring back with me, lest you desecrate them.”
No one stepped forth to stop us. I’m sure if Nathaniel were here in the body he would tell you he was trembling! And yet, his love, his deep commitment to service of all beings, shined through—
Here I am, Lord.
Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
This is te same commitment you all have. We took these candlesticks rewrapped in the blanket and simply walked off into the dark, walked back to the village. These men never came to brutalize that village again. People can learn. Certainly fear initially stopped them, but I would hope that eventually they learned the power of Love.
Your world has seemed to be filled with darkness, with people fighting about the results of elections, with people misusing the resources that you have. With a virus that would like to take over and destroy everything but itself, not fully understanding that if it thusly destroys, it destroys itself. Because service only to self ultimately must destroy the self.
And here you are, on the dawn of this age of awakening, remembering how to bring forth love. “Love one another”—that is all I taught. “Love one another.” This is all that Love asks of us.
And it is not just for me to do, as Yeshua. You are all born of that same awakened consciousness. You are all the Christ. In this season we are celebrating all of your births. Are you ready to be born? This long time in the birth canal is getting wearying and bruising—are you ready to come forth? I think so.
Remember, you are not alone. Each of you has many guides along with you. The Earth is so filled with angelic presence in these times. We cannot do it for you; you are our hands, our mouths, our ears, our eyes, and we are so grateful for what you are doing to bring forth this Christmas on the Earth, this birth of the Christ, of the awakened consciousness.
There is one more who would speak tonight, then perhaps it will go round back to Aaron. Love would like to come forth and speak.
Aaron is suggesting to me that I start a new audio file, which I will gladly do, Aaron, but you will need to tell me step by step. I may be Yeshua but I still don’t know how to create a new audio file!
(Love incorporates)
Love (B): I am Love. You are love. And I hold you in my heart.
As Yeshua has said, you are no less than Him, only have still some learning to do. But the essence of you is no less.
I was alone, awake, and knowing the possibilities; wanting playmates, as I have told you before. Each of you that were sparks of this divine radiance, you did not yet know how to shine, how to come forth.
You have the metaphor of the Garden of Eden. There you were, in this beautiful Garden, knowing yourselves as non-separate, knowing each as a part of everything. But you did not yet know how to express your own free will, how to imagine and co-create.
If you are not separate, how can there be free will? Whose will? In recent discussion the term “social memory complex” came forth. A social memory complex is different than a hive of bees that has one mind. Rather, it is a collection of fully awakened consciousnesses, all with one intention of fulfilling the passage of love, but each bringing its own unique experience, its own unique wisdom, even its own unique resolved karma out of which this wisdom has grown.
What will you become, as awakened higher consciousness? Not really different than you are now, except you will have released the whole idea of self and other and taken the responsibility for all that flows through each expression of the Divine— (pointing) this one, and this one, and this one, each of you a unique expression that is cherished—not one mold, all identical, (but) each special and unique. Each lighting the way for those who come beyond you.
Now I come back to the historic addresses. Let us say it a bit differently.
“Many thousands of years ago, our mothers and fathers brought forth on this world an idea, conceived in Liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”
Now we are engaged in, I would not call it a civil war; rather, the battle that we knew would be coming. Here is the willingness to say no to negative polarity by stepping into the fullness of who you are: I am Love, you are love. Testing whether this radiant consciousness, this world, so conceived and so dedicated, can flourish.
Yes, it can. You have come so far, and yet the work is not finished. Each of you does that work within yourselves, to seek out the places that need a bit of polishing, the places where some fear, darkness, anger, have stuck. Polish it off. Let your light shine!
I believe you are all muted, so I’m going to ask you just to sing with me, your own voice (singing):
This great light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine,
This great light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine,
This radiant light of mine I’m gonna let it shine,
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!
I thank you, my dear ones, for the love and courage it has taken to come forth, lifetime after lifetime, increasing your light, and letting it shine into the darkest places of the universe.
I am Love. You are love.
My beloved brother Yeshua, he is an extraordinary example, of love. But each of you is no less. Aaron, he is a beautiful example of love. But I know that each of you can go inside yourselves and think of somebody who says “I am love” to you, who illustrates that consciousness.
Now, my beloved ones, say it about yourselves, say it with me: “I am love. I am love.” Say it like you mean it. “I am love.” Indeed, you are.
My blessings are with you. You are love.
The body will return to Aaron.
Aaron: I am Aaron. It’s as, you would say, a bit hard of an act to follow….
But I know with a certainty I am love. And I hope in what I have been teaching you now for 30 years, I’ve been helping you begin to trust that you are love. Indeed, you are love. And I am so deeply grateful to Yeshua for the way that he taught me to know that I was love.
He told you that story—my turn to talk. I was terrified! He said, “Take the candlesticks. Wrap them back in the blanket.” “They’ll kill me!” “Nathaniel, take the candlesticks.” I trusted him deeply! I knew he would not put me in ultimate danger. But if that was the way I was to die, it was the way I was to die.
I was able to look in his eyes and feel the power of his love, and then turn and—the men did not hand them to me, they were lying on the ground and the men were all around. I just took them and took the time to wrap each carefully in the blanket, into a precious bundle. Stepped back. Yeshua put his arm around my shoulder, and the one on the other side was gathering another important object that we would take with us, another ceremonial object. Yeshua’s wrapped his arms around us, saying, “Now we will go home.”
The power of his voice, of his energy—saying, “You will not repeat this kind of sacrilege, because you also are love.” These men fell back. They were terrified. Some for whom his high vibration was literally painful ran away screaming. They could not yet tolerate that high vibration.
But I know that those whom it touched were not harmed by it, but rather, that it became a slightly opened door through which, whether it took months or years or lifetimes, eventually all who heard that instruction found themselves awakening into the truth of who they are.
He reminds us, as he was human, as I was human, you are human. And it is for humans and other sentient beings to bring about this shift into an awakened consciousness, on Earth and spreading out throughout the universe.
Walk with me. I do not promise you it will be easy, but together we can do it. You have the ability to love, and from that place of love, to say no to negativity, to trust the power of love and offer it forth as light so that all who are in darkness may be rescued from that darkness and come into the loving heart.
The world gives us infinite challenge. Many of you have been coming to me in recent months, saying, “I don’t know how to talk to people who are so filled with hatred.” Maybe the work is not to talk to them so much as just to try to love them, and to add to that, coming from the place of your deepest power of love, to just say, “No. No, you may not steal, slander, rape, kill.”
The world is turning. The old is gradually falling away—in your lifetimes – I cannot say. But the awakened world comes. Love comes. And it is beautiful.
Thank you for your willingness to reach out and take today’s candlesticks, to hear His voice saying, “It is safe.” Maybe not physically safe—I can’t promise that. It is safe. It is safe to reach out and receive the light and let it shine.
This is what He came for. This is what you came for.
We’ll take a little time now for questions…
Q: Yeshua mentioned that in that lifetime you were known as Nathaniel. Are you the same Nathaniel as mentioned in John’s Gospel?
Aaron: What difference does it make? Simply put, I was Nathaniel. I was Aaron. They’re just names. None of it is who I truly am; they’re just labels.
Q: Do you have any suggestions how to open or express or radiate love more?
Aaron: When you look in the sky on a cloudy day, you know the sun is shining but you can’t experience that sunshine because the clouds block it. You do not have the power to part the clouds, but the sun has the power to burn away the clouds. If you think of yourself simply as the small human, you cannot move the clouds so that love may shine forth more fully. But when you remember that you literally are love, are light, immediately you shine out. It’s just in the knowing.
The work, then, is to understand what blocks that knowing, what keeps you trapped in the belief of the small and limited self. Does it feel safe? Or why would you do that? Who are you, really? And are you ready to give up that whole idea of limitation and become more fully who and what you are?
We teach many practices that lead to this kind of knowing. I would recommend you start with my two books, Presence, Kindness, and Freedom, which is my first book, and also the book Human, which is short, not so easy to understand but easy to read. I think you’ll get a lot of the answer you seek—how to remember who you are and let your light shine forth—from Human. And also, I would recommend daily singing,
“This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine!” Just remembering, “I am light.”
So, there are two parts to this: to remember you are light, and to look at why you then hold to limitations, to reflect on that. In meditation, eventually you break through into the direct experience of knowing yourself as light, as part of the awakened heart. This knowing does change things. But it takes practice to allow yourself to come into that full knowing.
John Orr: Thank you for the talk this evening. In the talk it was referenced a number of times about negative polarity. I’m wondering, how does a being move into negative polarity? Is it the Buddhist explanation of ignorance and not seeing clearly one’s true nature, that leads one into negative polarity? What causes it?
Aaron: That’s it, in part, John, yes. But there’s more than that. Most beings do go through a phase of negative polarity. The question is less why they move into it than why some beings remain trapped in it and some release it.
Those who became caught in subtle negative polarity when they were young but held tight to the intention to love, because the experience of connection was so dear to them and the expression of separation so painful, these beings remained much less trapped, broke through the bounds of ignorance much more easily.
Those who became caught in negativity and then acted on that negativity, enhanced the karma of that negativity, until it built up bond upon bond upon them—much harder to work their way out of.
But you do not have to heal all of the ancient karma; one brilliant moment of light will help you remember who you are. And then, self-forgiveness and compassion, and compassion and forgiveness for all that negativity that has held you, each of you and together, for eons. This shatters the bond. Yes, you must still balance the karma, but you are no longer trapped in negativity.
John, is that sufficient, or would you ask further?
John: So, is it the fear of separation which is the initial fear or negative polarity that we get caught in, that from there that fear builds and builds and builds, and a person or being moves more deeply into negative polarity because of that initial fear of separation?
Aaron: Fear of separation is one piece of it. Fear of power is another piece. That being wants power. If it knows itself to be part of all that is, it knows that it has always had power. But as soon as it moves into the idea of separation, then it grasps for power. I don’t think these movements can be separated.
It’s not the same for each being, also. Imagine yourself coming out of this Garden. The gate is open. You look over your shoulder, and you feel completely connected to everything in that Garden. There’s no fear. You look out and you see things that are beautiful beyond what you’ve ever seen before, and things that look terribly frightening, also.
Part of you is ready to say, “Yes, I choose to take birth, ready to move into this realm, moving through the experience of separation, until I come to know without any doubt my complete connection to everything.” But coming from a different place—not one of helplessness or smallness but one of immensity. Knowing you are love means knowing the power of destruction as well as the power of creation. Knowing the strength in choice, “I choose love. I choose connection.”
It’s really a process. And it’s to some degree the process that every newborn infant moves through as it develops into an adult.
John, I feel like I have not completely answered your question, and there’s more that we could say in more technical Buddhist terms—perhaps a discussion that you and I can have at another time. But I would welcome something further from you, if there is more you would say.
John: That is very helpful, thank you.
Q: I heard either Aaron or Yeshua speak about the Brothers and Sisters of Light. Recently, I concluded my email to our precious sangha as us all being Brothers and Sisters of Light. I had the feeling it meant something significant to us all, but I didn’t know what. Could you speak more of this, please, Aaron?
Aaron: Q, you’ve just been through a very challenging experience, one that led you to a place where you could possibly have lost the body, one where there was a downward health spiral. You were able to ask for help, and the whole Dharma Path class came forth, and others, too, inviting light and love from the akashic field and offering it out to you. But you needed to be the one capable and willing to receive it.
I think that feeling the support of that love and light reminded you of who you truly are. And there was perhaps not a loud yell, maybe just a small whisper of, “Yes. Yes, I am willing to move ahead, to carry the work of this incarnation to wherever it will take me. Yes—thank you.” In so speaking, you acknowledged yourself also as a Sister of Light, able to open fully to all your counterparts.
So this is what I perceive was the process for you. And perhaps you were in the class talking about path of sacred darkness. And I think that this illness and hospitalization was to some degree your immersion into that sacred darkness and finding the light therein, and coming forth with the light, knowing the direct experience of Brother/sisterhood.
I hope that is helpful. And we are very glad that you are recovering.
I welcome further question…
John: There are people that are dying all the time, just as there are people being born all the time. I’ve noticed at this time of year it seems like there are more people passing, there are more people dying. And one of the beings that talked this evening, I think it was Yeshua, said there are many spirits present at this time of year. Is this a reason why this seems like a good time to die, is because beings have more access to light and to spirit presence at this time of year? I’ve always wondered why it seems more beings die or seem to be passing right around Christmas time.
Aaron: There is indeed a window open at this time of year, John. Many beings are celebrating the awakening of the Christ consciousness, the Buddha nature, the awakened consciousness. Many beings are gathered to hold that space with joy. But I think for anyone who is ready to transition from this life, loving energy will always be there to surround you.
I would not say that there is more radiance available now, at this time of year, only that people are more open to it, perhaps a bit more susceptible to it than usual, for many, feeling the power of the energy of the Christ Mass. The loving guidance is always there.
Q: Brothers and Sisters of Light—is this just another name for Confederation of Planets in Service to the One Infinite Creator?
Aaron: There are many names for it. Yes, all the same, Brother/Sisterhood of Light, Confederation of Planets in Service to the One Infinite Creator. Each language has its own statement of it. The realm of the arahant, the Buddha, The Brother/Sisterhood of Buddhists and Bodhisattvas.
Q: Is God ultimately our highest, greatest self? I’ve always had difficulty with the Buddhist concept that there’s ultimately no self or God.
Aaron: Aha! Here we get into an interesting question!
Ultimately, there is no separate self or God. However, while you are human you live in the mundane realm, not the ultimate realm. On the mundane realm there is what seems to be a self. It has no ultimate reality. That doesn’t mean that when you die you cease to exist. This awakened nature, depending on what density it chooses to rest at—for me, I’m a 6th density being. I have chosen not to move into 8th density, at which point I would completely dissolve, because at 8th density, or beyond 6th density, I would no longer have access to the mental body, and I could no longer come and speak with you. I choose to be a teacher. I choose to hold myself at a level at which I may teach.
But when we look at one such as the Buddha, who has allowed itself to dissolve fully into 8th density, that energy intermingles the radiance that helps hold everything, that helps hold the light.
One is not better than the other. Sometimes in Buddhist circles there’s an argument of whether it’s better to be a bodhisattva or to become an arahant. I suppose you would call me a bodhisattva. You would call the Buddha an arahant. I’m not comparing us—he is realms beyond me! But one is not better than the other.
The commitment is to love, to service to all beings, and to ask, that song:
Here I am, Lord.
Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord,
—whether to become a bodhisattva or whether to become an arahant
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
And this “Lord” is not something separate from us, either. This “Lord” is simply the All That Is. In our class we’ve been talking about the All Ground and about the akashic field. These are terms that I cannot begin to go into, summing up several years of study in 5 minutes.
But there is a Ground of everything. We live in a non-dual universe, so there is no separation ultimately between light and darkness. The light is part of the darkness, and the darkness is part of the light. But at another level, the light holds it all; darkness has no separate ultimate reality. So eventually darkness goes, and what remains is light.
We could speak further, for hours, about this.
Q: How can America heal from the genocide of the indigenous people in this land and the legacy of slavery?
Aaron: Learn to love one another. Learn to love yourselves. Find compassion and the courage to say no to the negativity that still exists, even at the risk of harm to yourself. Because there will not be ultimate harm to yourself, although there can be mundane-level harm. It takes great courage. If this mundane level self dies in this pursuit, it will come again and proceed with its work. But increasingly, through the power of your love, many of you are finding some degree of protection. You are understanding that you do not have to martyr yourself.
Further questions?
Q: Is the virus here to teach us? What is the virus here for?
Aaron: The virus does not have that degree of consciousness. It did not come consciously as a teacher. It came because the conditions were present for it to be here.
It can survive in a low vibration. It cannot survive in a high vibrational frequency. Thus, you may learn about polarity from the virus because it cannot survive a high vibration, but it did not come consciously to teach you that.
Nor did you invite it forth as a teacher, specifically. Rather, you said, “We are willing to learn,” and since everything in this conditioned realm arises out of conditions, you all, I would not say consciously, but because of the increasing low vibration, because of deterioration of the environment, because of conditions that allowed a virus to pass from animal to human, because of myriad conditions—you opened the gateway that allowed this virus.
Then the choice is yours—to see it as a tyrant out to destroy you, or to say, “Oh, okay, thank you, teacher.” Stop and take a deep breath and look. This has arisen out of conditions; what may we learn here? And how may that learning change the conditions in such a way that a virus such as this cannot take over the Earth again?
Q: Is there value in using the name “Jesus” in a mantra?
Aaron: There is value of using any name in a mantra that arouses love within your heart and raises your vibration.
That name will change for different of you. John leads a beautiful chant, “Hari Om, Dear One, Sat Nam, Holy Name. When I call on the light in my heart, I come home.”
Tonight we have repeated that song, “Here I am, Lord; is it I, Lord?” Does anybody know that song who has a good voice and would be willing to come forth on the Zoom screen and sing it for us? I would be delighted to have people able to hear it, rather than just the words, because it’s very beautiful.
(They look for it…)
The song is, “Here I Am, Lord.”
I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard my people cry.
All who live in dark and sin
My hand will save.
And when I use the word ‘sin’, remembering Yeshua’s statement: ‘sin’ means “Sinking Into Negativity (SIN)”, not some ultimate, “Oh, you’re bad, you sinned.”

Barbara: Thank you. This is Barbara. Aaron gave me back the body so I can enjoy that song, which is one of my favorites. It feels like a fitting way to end this night of Christmas Stories.
Someone mentioned that this u-tube of the song seems very “Christian.” I have great love for the Buddha and the pathway that he opened. It has been a life-changing path for me. I don’t find myself torn between the Buddha or Yeshua. There’s love for all of these great masters. And each path carries great power and love….
(Barbara was muted—she repeats…)
Oh, I’m sorry—here I am talking and no one can hear me! I said I have great love for all of these great masters, for Yeshua, for the Buddha. Aaron gave me back the body so I could see this. It was beautiful. I can’t hear it but I can see it.
It seems like a fitting way to end the night of Christmas Stories. We are Deep Spring Center for Meditation and Spiritual Inquiry. We do not focus on any one religion but rather invite the wisdom of all these wonderful traditions. And yet we also must work and persevere with a spiritual path, must do our meditation practice, or whatever it is we’re going to do. It makes me very happy to look back—some of you have been here for all 31 years that I’ve been teaching—to see the amazing growth for people because you have worked hard to learn these practices and to persevere. They’re not easy. But to work with these very profound spiritual practices—meditation, vipassana, open heart, prayer, and so forth, and with growing hearts.
I think what we’ve become and done has been very beautiful. And I thank you all for being a part of my life.
That’s all. I love you all. Thank you, and good night.
